Option #1

Go through your bank:

Talk to your banker, who is an American company and want to have a bank account U.S. Corporate. You have all the qualities: USA Corporation / LLC, EIN, U.S. address and phone number of the United States #. Your banker, to meet in person, you can certify your documents and verify that you say you are (passport, etc.) and transmit this information to the United States banker. If your bank is useful, it can be done.

Option for Canadians:

Bank of Montreal (BMO Financial): If you already have an account with BMO Financial can create an account in the corporate banking in the United States so that its U.S. subsidiary: Harris Bank.

TD Canada Trust: If you already have an account at TD, you can get an account at TD Banknorth.

Royal Bank: If you already have an account with RBC, you can get a bank account at RBC Centura.

But perhaps the easiest and safest way to get your business bank account in the United States is open, if you enter a U.S. bank in person. (see details below)

Option# 2

Fly to U.S. standing in a bank in person (recommended)

Until now all our customers who have followed our guidelines and tips for successful walk into a bank in the United States of American companies to his bank account setup in a single visit.

New York, NY, is a major international center, a beautiful place to visit, and a state that does not have a bank account doing business, it's a great place to get a bank account for your business. You can contact a number of banks there. Or, if you want to fly and drive to Philadelphia in Wilmington, Delaware, you can walk into a Wachovia or Bank of America and get an account. Florida is also recommended.

The only state that really do not recommend creating your bank account in the United States in California. Most states do not consider that a bank account to do business there, but not in California, if you really are starting a business in California, you probably want to avoid an account in California .

You should contact your bank in the area you plan to visit and see what their requirements for opening an account for your Delaware LLC or Corporation. Surprises in these cases are usually not good, so good preparation is important. Not all banks to open an account for your Delaware corporation, even if it does appear in person, but many of them.

Currently, we recommend that you take with you to the bank:
Corporate documents (original - we offer)
EIN IRS letter (e-mail that you print scanning)

Additional documents from a bank may ask you to:
We will help you obtain the necessary documents of your choice, a bank requires from you.
We can provide a certified copy of its Certificate of Incorporation (Corp) or Certificate of Formation (LLC), and certificates of good standing or a certificate of occupancy.
A certificate of occupancy is written by us, his registrar, and states:
the date your company was incorporated in Delaware
File number for your business
you are in compliance with Delaware (if present)
you have an EIN # (if you do)
you are the director / member of the Delaware.
If you do no business in the State of New York, we can add to this statement and the certificate, if the Bank of New York requires.

Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo is one of the biggest Banks in USA that can provide IPB ( International Personal Banking ) for Non-Resident . This is Not an easy account to open for foreigners and also it can not be used just for PayPal and ecommerce money transfer purpose . It’ll take some time and strict paper work to open an account with Wells-Fargo, also a signature verification process is required to verify your identity/signature with the bank. I believe this is wont be a problem if you are running a legitimate business/activity .

With this banking service you’ll get free and secure online access to your accounts anytime, anywhere - in one place, with one username and password. Check balances, transfer funds, view statements, and much more.

Identification Documents Required :

- Copy of Passport
- Copy of National Identity Card/Driver License
- Signature card verification
- You will need to attach the most recent 3 months bank statements and 2 bank reference letters from your local bank.

Follow the following steps in order to open an account with Wells Fargo :

1- Visit the Wells Fargo IPB landing page . Apply for the account by filling-up the online application form , and print it out

2- Also print out the signature card form and the service agreement

Signature Verification Process

To verify your signature, it has to be done by one of these three ways:

1- SWIFT message type 199 send by your bank.
2- Signature verified by San Francisco IPB office or Hong Kong IPB office.
3- Signature notarized by US Embassy or Consulate.

For choice #1, visit your local bank and ask them if the Swift message type 199 is available
( Most of the bank officers have never heard of SWIFT message type 199 before! ).

For choice #2, the best choice for Hong Kong / US residents

For choice #3, this seems like the only ’slightly’ more convenient way to do so. Given that you live near the consulate. It will cost you a fee to certify your document ( should be around USD$20 per document).

Please note that the Wells Fargo service agreement stated that you can not use the bank account for PayPal and other eCommerce solution. Make sure you read it carefully.
